The men’s football team of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi has qualified for the quarter-finals of the men’s football competition at the ongoing 9th Mini Ghana University Sports Association (GUSA) Games after an impressive performance in the group stage.
KNUST secured qualification after winning two of their three group matches, scoring 10 goals in the process.

The defending champions opened their campaign in dominant fashion with a 6-0 victory over Ghana Communication Technology University before suffering a narrow 1-0 defeat to University of Business and Integrated Development Studies in their second game.

The team bounced back strongly in their final group match, defeating University of Media, Arts and Communication (UniMAC) 4-2 to seal a place in the last eight.
KNUST heads into the quarter-finals as defending men’s football champions, having won gold at the 28th GUSA Games, and will play their next match on May 11, 2026.
Meanwhile, KNUST continues to maintain a strong presence on the overall medal table at the ongoing games, recording 9 gold, 5 silver and 11 bronze medals.
